“Every standard holds a story...”
Congruent Learning was founded by Renée Washington, a systems informed practitioner and trainer with experience working alongside justice impacted, survivor-centered, and human services organizations. Her work is grounded in the belief that misalignment and not the lack of effort... is one of the greatest barriers to sustainable impact. She brings a trauma informed, reflective approach to training and consulting that centers both the people served by systems and the professionals tasked with carrying the work.
Her perspective is shaped by lived experience, professional practice, and a commitment to truth over performance. Renée partners with organizations willing to examine how values, policies, and daily practices intersect... and where change is needed to support both workforce wellness and ethical service delivery.
Congruent Learning reflects her commitment to alignment, discernment, and work that lasts.
Renée Washington has been invited to speak at conferences focused on trauma-informed practice, workforce wellness, and justice-impacted systems.

Invited Speaker | From Blame to Belonging: Restoring Dignity and Resilience in Victim Advocacy
Speaking is offered in service of the work, never separate from it.
Misalignment is one of the most common and least acknowledged drivers of burnout, disengagement, and ineffective practice. When values, policies, and day-to-day operations are out of sync, even the most committed professionals are forced to work against the system instead of within it. Alignment creates the conditions for clarity, ethical practice, and sustainability. It allows organizations to move with intention, support their workforce as whole humans, and deliver services that reflect what they say they stand for. Alignment is not a philosophical ideal... it is a practical necessity for work that is meant to last.

AfterNow is a reflective podcast centered on everyday people, practitioners, advocates, leaders, and individuals who share personal stories of perseverance, trauma, and endurance. Hosted by Renée Washington, AfterNow creates space for honest storytelling without urgency, spectacle, or performance.
This podcast is about lived experience, dignity, and the quiet work of continuing on.
AfterNow prioritizes consent, care, and dignity in storytelling. Episodes are reflective in nature and not intended to replace therapy, clinical care, or professional support.
